Your bank, your account
How to check whether Lodo supports your bank in the UK and Europe
Check your bank, account type and permissions in Lodo’s connection flow, and understand why country coverage alone does not guarantee every feature.
The useful answer
Lodo is a money manager in WhatsApp for people in the UK and Europe. To check a particular bank, use the bank-connection flow reached through Lodo and look for the correct institution and account type. Country availability, account-data access and payment capabilities are separate checks; a bank’s name appearing somewhere does not guarantee every account or feature.
What to know
- Check the bank entity and account type you actually use.
- Review the accounts and permissions offered during authorisation.
- If your bank or account is missing, ask for help instead of choosing an incorrect alternative.
Check country, institution and capability separately.
A banking brand can operate through different institutions in different countries. A personal account and a business account can also use separate connection routes. Match the institution to your actual account rather than selecting the first familiar logo.
Lodo offers account-information connections across available UK and European institutions. Check the current options for your own account. A country selection is not a promise that every bank in that country works, and the same bank may support different capabilities for different accounts.
| Check | Useful question | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Country and institution | Is this the bank entity for my account? | That every bank in the country is supported |
| Account access | Can I select the account I need? | That all savings, credit or business accounts are available |
| Data permissions | Which balances or transactions will be shared? | Permission for every future payment or action |
| Connection result | Did authorisation finish and is the expected account visible? | That every transaction is already up to date |
Start from the official Lodo route.
Follow the authorised connection process shown for your bank. Do not send a password, PIN or one-time security code in a support message or WhatsApp chat as a workaround. If the institution or permissions are unfamiliar, stop and use the official help route.
- Open joinlodo.com and use its WhatsApp entry point.
- Follow the bank-connection instructions provided by Lodo.
- Search for your bank and match the relevant country/entity and account type where options are shown.
- Read the named provider, selected accounts and requested permissions before authorising.
- Return to Lodo and check whether the connection completed and the expected accounts are available.
Account information and moving money are separate capabilities.
An account-information connection allows supported data to be shared with permission. A payment capability is a different permission and action. Having spending information available does not by itself establish that a particular transfer, savings action or provider switch can be completed.
Yapily’s primary documentation distinguishes institution-specific features and geographic coverage, and its payment guidance describes separate payment authorisation. Its overall network coverage is not the same as the set of accounts or features enabled for a particular Lodo user. Read the permissions for the action you are actually taking.
If a bank is listed but your account is missing.
Check whether you selected the right institution and whether the bank’s authorisation screen offered the account you expected. Also check whether the connection finished or returned an error. Do not repeatedly approve different institutions merely to see which one works.
For support, share the bank name, country, broad account type and the stage that failed. A short description such as “personal current account; bank authorisation completed; expected account not shown” is more useful than a full bank statement. Keep account numbers, credentials and security codes out of your message.
An absent bank or unsupported account is not a reason to move your money. You can still use Lodo’s public guides and calculators without connecting a bank, and ask the team whether the connection you need is available.
Ask an account-specific question.
“Does Lodo work in Europe?” is a useful starting point, but it is too broad to establish whether your particular account works. A better check identifies the bank and country, the account type and the job you want to do.
For example: “I use a personal current account with my bank in Germany. Can I connect it to review transactions?” That is a narrower question than asking whether every European savings product or payment function is available. This example makes no claim about a particular bank’s current support.
